Get My Rides - Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Get My Rides online booking platform (the “Platform”) operated by Get My Rides Ltd., a company registered in Bulgaria under company number 208023864, with its registered office at Azur Deluxe, St. Constantine i Elena, 9006 Varna, Bulgaria (“Get My Rides,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By making a booking or using our services, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Our Role
1.1. Get My Rides operates as an online intermediary platform that allows Customers to search for, compare, and book rental cars offered by independent third-party car rental companies (“Service Providers”).
1.2. Get My Rides does not own, manage, or operate vehicles. The vehicle rental service is provided solely by the selected Service Provider.
1.3. When you make a booking through our Platform, your rental contract is concluded directly with the Service Provider. Their own rental terms (“Rental Terms”) govern the vehicle rental, and you will be asked to review and accept them before or at vehicle pick-up.
1.4. Get My Rides is not a party to the rental contract and is not responsible for the condition, performance, or availability of the vehicle.
2. Booking Process
2.1. You can search, compare, and request a booking through the Platform by selecting a vehicle, dates, and a Service Provider.
2.2. Once your booking is submitted, you will receive a booking confirmation email containing:
- Details of your reservation,
- The Service Provider’s contact information, and
- A summary of key rental terms provided by that Service Provider (e.g. deposit, insurance, fuel policy, cancellation).
2.3. The Service Provider is responsible for confirming availability and providing the vehicle at the agreed location and time.
2.4. The Customer must ensure all information entered during the booking process is accurate. Incorrect or incomplete details may lead to cancellation or refusal at pick-up.
3. Payment Options
3.1. Depending on the Service Provider and offer, the following payment models may apply:
- Full payment online: the entire amount is paid at the time of booking.
- Partial prepayment: a deposit is paid online, and the remaining balance is settled directly with the Service Provider at pick-up.
- Full payment on arrival: payment is made directly to the Service Provider upon vehicle collection.
3.2. The applicable payment model for each booking is displayed clearly during checkout.
3.3. Any deposit, security pre-authorization, or card hold required by the Service Provider will be processed directly by them at vehicle pick-up, and its release timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
3.4. Additional fees such as fuel, optional insurance, extra equipment, or late return charges are determined by the Service Provider and are payable directly to them.
3.5. Get My Rides does not collect or refund any payments on behalf of the Service Provider unless expressly stated during booking.
4. Cancellations and Modifications
4.1. Each Service Provider sets its own cancellation and modification policy, which is displayed during the booking process.
4.2. If you cancel within the allowed period, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund according to the Service Provider’s policy.
4.3. If you fail to appear for pick-up (“no-show”) or cannot meet the rental requirements (e.g. valid license, credit card, or sufficient deposit), the Service Provider may treat the booking as cancelled, and any refund will depend on their policy.
4.4. To request a modification or cancellation, follow the instructions in your confirmation email or contact the Service Provider directly.
5. Key Rental Information
5.1. Before completing your booking, the Platform will display a summary of key rental conditions as provided by the Service Provider, such as:
- Driver age and license requirements
- Deposit or pre-authorization range
- Insurance coverage and deductible/excess
- Fuel or charging policy
- Mileage limits and cross-border restrictions
- Late return or cleaning fees (if applicable)
5.2. This information is provided for your convenience. The binding rules governing your rental are contained in the Service Provider’s Rental Terms.
5.3. You are responsible for reading and understanding the Service Provider’s Rental Terms before the rental begins.
6. Customer Responsibilities
By using the Platform or making a booking, you agree to:
- Provide true, accurate, and complete information;
- Review and comply with the Service Provider’s Rental Terms, including age, license, deposit, and insurance requirements;
- Pay all applicable charges directly to the Service Provider; and
- Treat the rental vehicle responsibly and in accordance with local traffic laws.
Get My Rides is not liable for fines, tolls, or penalties incurred during the rental period. Service Providers may charge administrative fees for processing such requests.
7. Liability
7.1. Get My Rides’ role is limited to operating the Platform and facilitating communication between Customers and Service Providers.
7.2. We are not responsible for:
- Vehicle quality, condition, or suitability;
- The Service Provider’s performance or policies;
- Any accident, damage, delay, or loss arising from the rental service.
7.3. Any claim or dispute regarding the vehicle rental must be made directly with the Service Provider.
7.4. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under mandatory consumer protection laws.
8. Complaints and Support
8.1. If you experience an issue with your booking or the Platform, you can contact us at support@getmyrides.com.
8.2. We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 business days and aim to respond within 14 days.
8.3. If your issue concerns the rental service itself, we will facilitate contact with the relevant Service Provider but cannot impose a resolution.
8.4. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
9. Data and Privacy
9.1. Get My Rides processes personal data only as described in our Privacy Policy in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
9.2. Each Service Provider acts as an independent data controller for the rental transaction and may process your data for insurance, vehicle handover, or legal compliance.
9.3. Customers are advised to remove any personal data (e.g. paired phones, navigation history, call logs) from the vehicle before returning it.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website with the effective date indicated at the top.
Continued use of the Platform after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory legal protections available under the laws of your country of residence.
Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Varna, Bulgaria, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law.
